Who/What inspired you to pursue a career in master data?
My journey at KDP started through a family connection. My aunt, who had been a consultant with the Company many years ago, heard about a job opening and believed I would be an excellent fit. Excited about the prospect, I followed her recommendation, joined the Company and from that moment on, I never looked back. Working at KDP has been both fulfilling and rewarding, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute.
Describe your career path. What brought you to your current role?
I joined KDP as a Consumer Relations agent handling customer inquiries related to our products before transitioning to the role of a Master Data Specialist, where I took charge of creating and managing customer master data records for rebate payments. I dedicated four years to this role before becoming a Pricing Information Specialist. Recognized for my contributions in optimizing various processes, I earned a promotion to Associate Manager and was selected to participate in a capstone project which involved integrating several standalone data systems into one SAP system. For two years, I served as a Product Lead on the project actively contributing to its successful go-live. Following my tenure on the project, I returned to my Associate Manager role and earned a promotion to Pricing Manager, the role I continue to hold today.
What do you enjoy most about KDP?
I take great pleasure in the vibrant culture at KDP. The individuals I collaborate with are truly incredible—always ready to lend a hand and offer support. The diversity within our team is something I cherish, as we all bring unique perspectives to the table while collectively giving our best to our work. I am grateful for KDP’s commitment to investing in its people and contributing to the community.
What is your favorite part of your role at KDP?
The most cherished aspect of my role revolves around problem-solving and assisting others. I find immense joy in tackling challenges and streamlining tasks for my team, making their jobs more seamless, effortless and efficient. It brings me immense satisfaction to contribute to their enjoyment of work and ensure they feel fulfilled in their unique contributions.
What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a career in master data?
To excel in a master data role, a passion for data accuracy is essential. An open mindset and a willingness to embrace change are equally crucial attributes. This position often involves delving into processes, understanding them thoroughly and actively seeking ways to enhance efficiency. The job requires a continuous commitment to learning, inspecting current procedures and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
