Keurig Dr Pepper Gives Back to Restaurant Workers in Need
Dr Pepper is a fan favorite in restaurants across the country and is also the most available fountain brand nationwide. In support of restaurant workers struggling in the wake of the pandemic, we’re helping our restaurant partners and workers by donating $250,000 to the National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF).
RERF was created by industry icon, Guy Fieri, chef and host of the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). The Fund provides restaurant workers with $500 grants, and 100% of all donations go directly to RERF. To be eligible to receive a grant, hospitality workers must have been employed in the restaurant industry for at least 90 days, had a significant loss of income due to COVID-19 and they must be able to document it. Income loss might include a cut in hours, or reduction of 50% or more in pay, for example.
To further support this initiative, Dr Pepper unveiled a new spin on our iconic “I’m a Pepper” t-shirt. Reaffirming that everyone is in this fight together, we launched “We’re a Pepper” t-shirts with 100% of all profits going directly back to the NRAEF Employee Relief Fund. The shirts are available for purchase now at www.togetherwepepper.com.
