Regional Tastes – Looking Deeper into KDP’s Portfolio

From carbonated soft drinks to rich coffee flavors and beyond, Keurig Dr Pepper’s (KDP) portfolio of over 125 owned, licensed and partner brands is crafted to satisfy the diverse taste preferences of every individual. While each of our brands holds a unique place in the hearts of consumers nationwide, the brands that resonate most with consumers tend to vary based on regional preferences.

Our powerhouse brands, including Dr Pepper® and Canada Dry® lead the charge in total dollar sales – and we’ve left them out of this data so that we could look deeper into our brands. Further exploration of our portfolio through our Product Development Index (PDI) reveals the regions in which our brands forge the strongest connections with our consumers. PDI compares a product’s sales in a particular area to that area’s share of the U.S. population. Essentially, it shows where brands overperform their averages, showcasing how preferences vary by region.
