Keurig Dr Pepper Earns Perfect Score in Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index
We are committed to creating a work environment in which all voices are heard, employees feel supported, and talent can thrive. It is an honor to see that our commitment is making an impact through a perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index and to be designated as a “Best Place to Work” for LGBTQ+ Equality in the U.S..
In honor of this achievement, we asked just a few employees that make up our incredible workforce and LGBTQ+ employee resource group at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) to share their stories.
Brandie C. is a Supply Chain Initiative Project Manager at KDP and has been with us for 18 years. She also serves as the Co-Chair of our LGBTQ+ employee resource group. Brandie shared that the best part of her job is collaborating with co-workers who share the same vision and are committed to achieving the end goals. Brandie feels this recognition is very well deserved for the company because KDP has demonstrated support of LGBTQ+ employees by investing in several important and much needed ERGs and cultivating a safe work environment for all.
When asked how KDP has supported employees in being able to bring their whole self to work, Brandie shared, “It’s a wonderful feeling that I can bring my true full self to work and not worry about being discriminated against or treated unfairly. It is refreshing to be able to share with my co-workers and colleagues about my family and life away from the workplace. I don’t have to hide and feel neither out of place nor excluded.”
Brown G. has been with KDP for 6.5 years and is an Innovation Manager, working with some of the greatest minds in our company to create new product innovation for our cold beverage portfolio. He manages projects that begin as an idea in a brainstorm and end up as a drink in a consumer’s hand. Of course, his favorite part of the process is taste testing! Brown shared that the diversity and inclusion initiative at KDP has created an environment for him to share his whole self at work. As the culture pillar lead in the company’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group, Brown organized Pride Month for the company last year, and shared that it was very fulfilling to see teams from across our organization celebrate alongside LGBTQ+ employees.
When asked how he felt about KDP’s Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s award, Brown said, “I am very proud that KDP ranked as a “Best Place to Work” and it strengthens KDP’s reputation as a modern beverage company. For LGBTQ+ employees like myself, scoring a perfect score on the HRC Corporate Equality Index demonstrates that KDP is implementing policies and practices that are important to the LGBTQ+ community.”
