KDP Provides Over Four Million Cups of Coffee to Healthcare Workers Through Fueling The Frontline Initiative

Keurig Dr Pepper is supporting healthcare and essential workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our Fueling the Frontline program, we outfitted thousands of hospital breakrooms across the country with coffee brewers and coffee and providing thousands of bottled beverages nationwide for frontline workers. We also gifted our own 21,000+ frontline employees with a free brewer and coffee and empowered our 6,000 non-frontline U.S employees to recognize essential workers in their own communities with a free brewer and coffee.

In the Dallas area, KDP sent a mobile coffee truck to 11 local hospitals providing nearly 10,000 hot coffee drinks and cold beverages as a special thank you to the nurses, doctors and healthcare workers for their sacrifices, commitment and courage as they care for those who need it most. The truck stopped at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Plano, Frisco and Allen, Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Children’s Health Hospital in Plano and Baylor Scott & White Health Hospital in Frisco.

We also expanded our Fueling the Frontline initiative during National Hospital Week in May. Throughout the week, we executed a social media campaign in the U.S. to amplify the support we provided to these frontline heroes by asking others to join us on social media and share their thanks. For every post of gratitude that included #FuelingtheFrontline, Keurig Dr Pepper promised to provide a cup of coffee to a hospital worker, up to another one million cups. We also coordinated with key influencers to spread the news of our campaign with their own messages of gratitude via their social media channels. Through the campaign, we generated ~110 million impressions, 30 million video views and distributed nearly 800,000 beverages. Lastly, we contributed to the KIND Foundation’s Frontline Impact Project, donating 14,000 beverages to seven first responder groups across four states.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Fueling the Frontline program donated 4 million beverages to over 500 hospitals across 43 states across the country, outfitting 3,700+ breakrooms with beverage stations.
