What does a day in your role look like?
I manage the relationships we have with the largest Away-From-Home (AFH) customer from the Field Sales perspective. Any given day could mean collaborating with Keurig Authorized Distributors (KAD) to gain placement at respective enterprise customers, working cross-functionally to develop training materials, sharing and collaborating with my team on new initiatives, or consulting with senior leadership on strategies for future growth.
Describe your career path. What brought you to your current role?
I started my professional career in retail, then moved to a marketing agency. After my first sales role, I was fortunate to have great mentors who encouraged me to apply for different roles. Since then, I have led regional, divisional and national high-performing sales teams.
What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a career in sales?
Sales is not a linear approach, and it is not just about selling either. Sales is a process that requires listening, building relationships and partnering to deliver a solution to a problem or opportunity.
Can you share ways you have developed at KDP (mentoring, training, etc.)?
Personal development is a journey that starts with a growth mindset. I have been fortunate enough to work with amazing leaders who inspire me to do better and be better every day. Formal and informal mentors who have asked thought-provoking questions and provided guidance over the years. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead amazing team members who collaborate and are proud of the work they do day in and day out, they challenge me to be a better leader. I have also been fortunate to be part of our Diversity & Inclusion journey as a leader of the Hispanic & Allies ERG, it has given me the opportunity and platform to deliver meaningful and tangible impact at an enterprise level. I am grateful to the leaders who have appointed me to participate in professional development programs throughout the years, those experiences have helped me grow, not only as a professional but also as a human being.
What is your favorite part of your role at KDP? Why?
I get to work with amazing individuals, who challenge me every day. The teams that I work with are passionate and proud about the work they do and are interested in delivering a great experience for our customers. It is inspiring to work alongside talented team members who are looking to make a meaningful impact through engagement, collaboration, and innovation.
